SUGAR CANE BOOM PRODUCTION TIME, A COMING TO BELIZE

SUGAR CANE PRODUCTION IN BELIZE HIT RECORD OF 114 TONNES THIS YEAR 2012.\

One Mexican sugar producer has bought several thousand acres.  Also bought an old disused sugar factory site.  So there is going to be sugar producing competition in the North of Belize.  A USA company has supposedly now bought the majority stock holding, in the one and only existing sugar factory.

Looks like bumper times ahead for sugar producers.  Not enough to take care of a growing government we cannot afford, with our debts, so we need other agriculture processed food exports.  Government politicians are struggling to find leadership types to jump start agro-processing, but apparently an academic degree, and education is not proving that the holders are intelligent self starters.  Salaried types in the bureaucracy have consistantly been inadequate leaders and pioneers.
