Sean Steinberg stays both at Falconview Backpackers Adventure Hostel and Tina's Backpackers Hostel in Belize

Sein Steinberg of Cape Coral staying at Falconview Backpackers Adventure Hostel

Sean Steinberg is off to take in the ATM ( Actun Tunichil Muknal ) underground rugged explorers cave trip, a mile to the sacrifical site at the entrance to the Mayan Underworld, XIBALBA today. Sean is from Cape Coral, Florida and will be flying out of Guatemala City on Thursday. He wants to see TIKAL tomorrow and climb the volcano around Antigua on Wednesday. I recommended he take the buses to Tikal tomorrow morning and catch a bus back to Flores in the Peten for the night and a bus from Santa Elena Town in the Peten, bus station and catch the EXPRESS bus to Antigua going the back way on paved roads through the scenic mountains. Lots of hairy hairpins up there and beautiful, via Xayache, Coban and so forth to Antigua, missing Guatemala City entirely. Save him a vacation day and much better. Sean is a boat captain for supply vessels to the oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, with a month on and a month off work at a time. We gave him breakfast FREE, as tourists tend to sleep in and miss a meal when Pacz Tours picks them up early for the ATM tour. They get weak in the knees climbing around rugged cliffs in the pitch black inside a mile underground.
We've been dead around here for at least two weeks and a bit, but looks like SEAN is the forerunner of our summer high season. Reports from Caye Caulker are that business is picking up for the summer. Sean stayed at Tina's Backpackers Hostel on the Caye Caulker beach and arrived from there by bus yesterday out here. Tina's is my daughter's hostel on the barrier reef island.
